The business is one of the most exciting start ups in the UK market in health foods. The strategy is set, the investment in infrastructure, products and marketing is in place & we now need driven people to take this business to the market.

This though is the beginning of the process which is hugely exciting, this is the opportunity to be part of building something from the beginning. This is an SME thinking 10 times bigger than they are, they are a B Corp, the process & talent already in the operational and marketing teams is amazing for a business of this size and we have founders who have built food businesses before so this is no ordinary Founder led SME.

For this business to take the next step on their journey we are looking at adding a senior sales leader into the team, as the business embarks on its growth journey in the UK & Internationally.

About the Role

This is an all-encompassing strategic 'doer' of a Head of Sales role in this dynamic and well-funded business. Reporting to the COO with responsibility for 1 direct report at present and plenty of scope over the coming 12-18 months to nurture and grow your team exponentially, as mentioned this is early stage! This is your chance to have significant impact on a business and a team to create a legacy. Innocent, Graze, Oatly, Huel, were all at this stage once!

Your responsibility will be to grow the business across the top Retail customers & Out of Home. Full responsibility for P&L, reporting, senior relationship contact & ownership of performance metrics. You will report directly to the company COO and work closely with the marketing, operations and NPD functions to recommend best in class category growth decisions for customers alongside business growth objectives, as well as taking out the bins, washing up and packing boxes!

Your Background

To be successful we need a passionate foodie & team player who exudes positivity and is driven to achieve. This is a business focused on strong values and sustainable better for you growth agendas so the focus on doing the right thing is a must. You will already have a strong background in large, branded consumer business and have experienced multiple rotations on top 4 grocery customers ideally, with out of home brand building experience.

Food/Beverage experience is essential here this is a business of health-conscious people who live and breathe their products. Remember this is not a big business it’s a start up, working with large budgets for its size but being responsible, working with agility, at pace and being able to don more than one hat is essential.
